A heritage dating back to 1795
Bosch Rexroth has been producing and marketing components and systems for electrical, hydraulic (industrial and mobile) and mechanical technologies for centuries. Its history began in 1795 with the launch of a water-powered hammer. By the 1950s, the company specialised in the production of standardised hydraulic components and systems.

From 1965 onwards, it diversified into the manufacture of electrical drive and control systems, motors and axial piston pumps, as well as linear and assembly technologies.

By the late 1990s, Rexroth was developing multi-technology solutions that integrated IT, and in 2001, following a merger, it became a subsidiary of the German multinational Robert Bosch GmbH.

Today, Bosch Rexroth is a global leader in drive and control solutions. The company employs 32,600 people and is present in more than 80 countries worldwide. In 2024, it reported a turnover of €6.5 billion, according to its own data.
